Dining & bars, in depth.
One dining hall, one bar, one rule: cook the food, pour the drink, write it on the board.

The Hall
Long communal steel tables, a chalkboard menu, a servery counter. The kitchen cooks north-west produce plainly: a fish of the day, a slow-cooked meat, a veg plate, a good pie. No tasting menu, no theatre. Walk in, sit where there is space, eat.
The Bar
A concrete bar top, a back wall of bottles, a chalkboard drinks list. Local beer, a short wine list, a handful of cocktails built for speed not for show. Open until late for hotel guests and floor players.
Hours
The Hall: 12:00–22:30 daily. The Bar: 16:00–01:00 weekdays, to 02:00 weekends. Floor service runs to the tables for hotel guests.
In short
Unfussy, well-cooked, fairly priced. The Hall is the social centre of the building; The Bar is where the floor comes to settle. Not a destination restaurant — a good hotel dining room.
